Thomas Heatherwick, proclaimed as the ‘Leonardo Da Vinci of our times’ by Sir Terence Conran and the Architect behind the Seed Cathedral in the Shanghai World Expo 2010 has designed Magis Spun, a sculptural yet functional chair. With Heatherwick’s flair of challenging rules, Spun is a playful piece of design. Spun allows the user to swivel in a circular rocking motion, including being able to rotate in a complete circle, just like a spinning top, an object from our childhood.
